This past summer has been particularly hard with the drought and decisions needed to be made in which direction we wanted to grow in - LaMancha dairy goats have become our passion and we have decided to rather have quality than quantity. We are proud of our two girls that made Grand Champion - Star on the Rocks is amazing for an 8 month old and we see her really moving up there in the future - our little Iris is only 2 months old but shows us that she is leaning to give Star future competition - each girl has great qualities in their own right - this year and last years Sire to our dam Ani Jewel has quite a reputation - he definitely lives up to his name - Simple Pleasures on the Rocks - an offspring of Kastodemur's line of champions, his fine traits are evident in his kids - Star is one of them.

Happy New Year to all - this year there will be a lot happening out here on the new/old farm - our strawberry plants arrived yesterday and the grape cuttings for the little vineyard are ordered and on their way - the leyland cypress will be ordered within this next month as will some of the fruit trees - the "girls" are all enjoying country life with plenty of room to discover more each day, the hens are back to laying, and Harley our great Pyreniesse has been dubbed "Sir barks a lot" - that will have to change as his replacements with a Jack and a Jenny are waiting in the wings lol.
